What we Believe

We believe in one true God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, co-eternal and perfectly united as one God. The Trinity reveals God’s relational nature and His desire to invite us into communion with Him.

We believe God the Father is Creator of heaven and earth. He is holy, just, loving and faithful. He desires relationship with His children and has made a way for us to be adopted into His family through Jesus Christ. He rules with wisdom and reigns with goodness.

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, demonstrated the Kingdom of God through teaching and miracles, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave and ascended to the Father. Through His life, death and resurrection, we are forgiven, restored and made new. He is Lord and He is coming again.

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and active in the world today. He convicts of sin, leads us into truth and empowers believers for holy living and bold witness. We believe in the present work of the Holy Spirit, including the baptism of the Spirit and the operation of spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God. It is our foundation for doctrine and our guide for life. Scripture reveals God’s character, His redemptive plan and His desire to transform us into the image of Christ.

We believe water baptism is an outward declaration of an inward transformation. It is a public identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We believe communion is a sacred act of remembrance and proclamation. As we partake of the bread and the cup, we remember Christ’s sacrifice and celebrate the new covenant established through His blood.

We believe Jesus Christ will return again in glory to establish the fullness of His Kingdom. We live with expectancy, hope and readiness, pursuing faithfulness until the day we see Him face to face.
